German Pancakes or Crepes

150 gram (5 oz) flour
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
salt
butter
And a topping of your choice!

1. Put flour into bowl and slowly stir milk, eggs and salt until the dough has no clumps and should be somewhat liquid. Important - Let sit for at least 20 min!!

2. Melt a table spoon of butter in a large pan and make sure the whole bottom is greased on high heat. Turn heat on medium and pour in a small portion of dough, turn pan to all sides so there's a small layer of dough covering the pan.

3. Once the bottom of the pancake is brown to your liking, shake pan so the pancake gets loose in case it got stuck, and then turn - either with an elegant,
but dangerous flip in the air or use a spatula - and finish frying second side.

4. OK - now the pancake would be done, but the question is: what you want to have on it? And this is a very difficult question! We will give you some options you have to try - from sweet to salty:

Strawberries & Chocolate:

½ pound strawberries
½ bar of chocolate (if possible Swiss or German nougat chocolate - no Hershies)
Confectioners' sugar

5. After turning the pancake, spread chocolate pieces across pancake and let melt
6. Chop strawberries in small dices
7. When pancake has the desired color, put on plate, spread strawberries on pancake, roll it up and sprinkle confectioners's sugar on top - yummilicious!

Bananas & Chocolate:

2 bananas
½ bar of chocolate (if possible Swiss or German nougat chocolate - no Hershies)
Confectioners' sugar

1. Cut bananas into small slices
2. After turning the pancake, spread the banana slices and the chocolate pieces across pancake and let melt
3. When pancake has the desired color, put on plate, roll it up and sprinkle confectioners's sugar on top - yummilicious as well!

Applesauce & Cinnamon & Sugar

Apple sauce
Cinnamon
Sugar

1. After the pancake is ready, put on plate, spread applesauce on pancake. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it

Cheese & Ham

100 gram (3 oz) of cheese (Gouda, Emmentaler,…)
100 gram (3 oz) of ham

1. Cut cheese and ham into small slices
2. After turning the pancake, spread the cheese and ham slices across pancake and let the cheese melt
