Learn How to Speak German

Now that Ingo and I have been together for nearly 5 years, I've decided it's time for me to learn German. This way I can communicate better with his family when I am over there. And if we ever decide to have kids, they can be bilingual and I won't be in the dark!

So then comes the big questions, how do I learn German? What is the best way to learn German? Should I buy the German Rosetta Stone? Are there any free online German courses?

Well I did find one pretty sweet free online resource for learning German, Deutsche Welle and Free German Book & Audio Course. I Just started taking the online course today so I can't say if it works or not but so far so good.

Also a friend of mine is going to let me borrow her Rosetta Stone, so I will see if that works and report back. It's quite expensive, but if it works, then it's worth it! I am so excited to learn German, hopefully I can with the help of these two courses.
